MELAG یک شرکت خانوادگی آلمانی و متخصص در حوزه بازفرآوری و کنترل عفونت تجهیزات پزشکی است که فعالیت خود را از سال 1951 در برلین آغاز کرده است. این برند طی بیش از هفت دهه، تمرکز اصلی خود را بر توسعه راهکارهای تخصصی برای شستوشو، ضدعفونی، استریلیزاسیون و مستندسازی فرایندهای مرتبط با ابزارهای پزشکی و دندانپزشکی قرار داده است.

MELAG products are developed, manufactured and tested in Berlin and are used across dental and medical practices, clinics, hospitals and other professional healthcare environments.
داستان MELAG در اول ماه مه 1951 در برلین آغاز شد؛ زمانی که Alfred Gebauer شرکت Gebauer & Co. را با هدف تمرکز تخصصی بر بهداشت و استریلیزاسیون در مطبهای پزشکی و دندانپزشکی تأسیس کرد.
تنها یک سال بعد، تولید نخستین تجهیزات شرکت آغاز شد و در سال 1952 اولین دستگاه استریلکننده هوای گرم این مجموعه با نام Type C1 ساخته شد. در سال 1953 نام MELAG بهعنوان برند ثبت شد؛ نامی که از ترکیب واژههای آلمانی Medizin، Labor و Geräte شکل گرفته است.
در سال 1954، MELAG اتوکلاو Type R را توسعه داد؛ سیستمی که بهعنوان نخستین اتوکلاو مطبی این شرکت با تهویه خودکار شناخته شد و زمینه ثبت نخستین پتنت MELAG را نیز فراهم کرد.
در دهههای بعد، تمرکز شرکت از تجهیزات مستقل به توسعه یک سیستم کامل برای بازفرآوری ابزار گسترش پیدا کرد. Autoclave، Washer-Disinfector، Water Treatment، Sealing و سیستمهای مستندسازی به اجزای یک Workflow هماهنگ تبدیل شدند.
امروز MELAG همچنان یک شرکت خانوادگی است و مدیریت آن به نسل سوم خانواده بنیانگذار رسیده است. توسعه، تولید و کنترل کیفیت محصولات نیز همچنان در برلین انجام میشود.
MELAG’s story began on May 1, 1951 in Berlin, when Alfred Gebauer founded Gebauer & Co. with the objective of specialising in hygiene and sterilization solutions for medical and dental practices.
Production of the company’s first devices began shortly afterwards, with the Type C1 hot-air sterilizer introduced in 1952. In 1953, the MELAG brand name was registered, combining the German words Medizin, Labor and Geräte.
In 1954, MELAG developed the Type R autoclave, an early practice autoclave featuring automatic ventilation and an important milestone that led to the company’s first patent.
Over the following decades, MELAG expanded from individual sterilization devices into a complete instrument-reprocessing system. Autoclaves, washer-disinfectors, water-treatment systems, sealing devices and documentation technologies became coordinated elements of an integrated workflow.
Today, MELAG remains a family-owned company managed by the third generation of the founding family, while product development, manufacturing and quality testing continue to take place in Berlin.
