Univet’s story began in Brescia, Italy in 1997, when the company was founded by engineer Armando Portesi. Its early experience manufacturing eyewear for major fashion brands shaped a distinctive approach to professional eyewear, where technical performance is combined with comfort, form and design identity.
Univet later applied this expertise to safety eyewear and professional magnification systems. Attention to detail, lightweight materials, balanced frame design and continuous optical development became central elements of the brand’s products.
The development of its Loupes and Headlights portfolio, including Galilean, Prismatic and ergonomic optical systems, enabled Univet to address a broad range of requirements across dentistry and other medical professions.
Today, in-house design and production remain important parts of the Univet identity, while its products are distributed in more than 70 countries.
